Areas Of Focus

Sometimes I meet clients who feel it’s hard to open up to a stranger—or to anyone in their life. I understand how vulnerable that can feel. That’s why I focus on meeting clients exactly where they are and building trust over time. I strive to be consistent, engaged, and present with the tender hurts my clients carry, always taking a nonjudgmental stance. I never rush the process.

As a result, my clients are often surprised by how quickly they feel safe enough to share their hardest and most protected memories. The trust we build stays steady, and many clients tell me they finally feel safe to process their experiences openly—sometimes for the first time ever. They feel the relief of not being the only person who knows and cares about their pain.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified in DBT therapy. Before joining Olive Branch, I served as Associate Director and Interim Director at another counseling center. When working with couples, I incorporate my training in the Gottman Method (Levels 1 and 2) and my certification as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator.

A Little About Me

I am the easy going, warm, and not too serious of a person and therapist. I am just a human with a beating heart for those who are suffering and I get very serious about providing skillful and compassionate care to those in need.

Seeing my clients experience victory after years of defeat and doubt in their abilites…truly makes this work incredible to be a part of. It brings me pure joy to see my clients succeed and grow in their lives.

I don’t put on the “white coat” in my therapy office. What you see in the room is the same authentic self outside of the room. Outside of the therapy work, I enjoy time with my family, dogs, and learning how to cook new recipes (I can’t promise that I won’t ask you to share your favorites!).

Quick Takes:

  • My personal therapy style in 3 words: Present, Engaging, Invested.
  • What I’d bring to a potluck: Homemade brown butter cinnamon rolls.
  • My therapy superpower: Keen Observation. I’ve been known to catch the subtle
changes and shifts in a room!
