The work I am passionate about
Whether you are a new mom faced with postpartum challenges, a future mom struggling with infertility, a professional bombarded by stress in the work place, a couple fighting to save your marriage or recover from a divorce, I understand how the compounding weight of current and past unresolved trauma can lead to long term emotional, psychological and physical health issues.
For many new moms, the transition stirs up old wounds, especially if your own relationship with your mother has been complicated, painful, or invalidating. You may find yourself carrying the weight of unresolved trauma while also trying to show up for your child. Boundary-setting feels impossible, the emotions feel big, and the exhaustion runs deep.
I am passionate about helping high achieving women, men and couples navigate life’s transitions made difficult by past traumas. From family and personal transitions (transition into parenthood, caregiving for elderly parents etc), relationship changes (marriage recovery, divorce or loss of a partner), to career and professional transition (career advancement, leaving and returning to work force etc) and internal transition (from people pleasing to boundary setting, personal fulfillment and developing new support networks).
The space I create for you
My clients describe me as warm, humble, and a good listener- someone who truly hears them without judgment. I know how important it is to have a place where you can let go, especially when daily life doesn’t leave much room for your own needs. In our work together, you’ll have the freedom to bring every part of your story, even the pieces that feel too heavy or complicated to share elsewhere.
Who I work with
I specialize in supporting new moms who are navigating the complicated dynamics of having their own mothers still in their lives. Many of my clients are working through unresolved trauma, complicated relationships, and the challenge of setting healthy boundaries. I also work with individuals who are facing big emotions or major life transitions- infertility, divorce, postpartum changes, or other overwhelming situations.
I specialize in supporting high achievers (women, men and couples) who are navigating major life changes worsened by past traumas.
How therapy helps
My approach is both relational and skill-based. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and inner child work/internal family systems (IFS), I help clients find practical tools for regulating emotions while also exploring the deeper layers of their experiences. Sessions are personalized and you’ll leave with skills you can use right away, while also uncovering patterns that can bring lasting insight and change.
Moving forward with support
Therapy with me is about creating space for you to exhale, regroup, and feel genuinely supported. Whether you’re navigating motherhood with the weight of your own upbringing or learning how to steady yourself during a difficult season, my goal is to walk alongside you as you heal, grow, and reconnect with your own strength.
I offer therapy in Plano and through secure online sessions across Texas. To help you decide if we’re a good fit, I provide a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
